Pop Eye, can be fixed easily

Pop Eye, is a perplexing disease. It doesn’t mean that your fish has unusual strength when you feed it spinach, but that its eyes are literally popping out of its head.

You know if your pet has this problem if one or both eyes protrude or pop out more than usual. You need to remember that certain varieties of goldfish are meant to have distinguishing eyes such as Black Moor’s, and Bubble Eye’s. But as mentioned if your fishes eyes seem as though they are popping out more than normal action needs to be taken.

Pop Eye can be caused from several different sources which include: parasites, tuberculosis, bacterial infections and the beginning of Dropsy.

You need to make sure that your water in the fish tank is clean. Not all fish in your aquarium will get this disease, but the more sick fish you have the dirtier your water is. To find out how to easily clean your aquarium please click here.

This disease can be easily treated with antibiotics.

How do you keep your goldfish healthy?

-Make sure you keep the water clean in your aquarium.
-Feed your fish a varied and nutritious diet. Including aquatic plants is an excellent idea.
