Pearl Scale is a distinctive goldfish variety
The Pearl Scale,
goldfish variety
is a beautiful fish.
This goldfish variety is very distinctive. It has a fatter and rounder shape than most types of goldfish, and has a double tail. The Pearl Scale has a hood or crown on top of its head, which is similar to the Oranda. But, by far it’s most distinguishing feature is its scales. They really do look as though they have had pearls placed under each scale. These scales are really unique and very beautiful.
This fish looks like it belongs with a hidden treasure, and has swallowed all the pearl necklaces.
This majestic and graceful fish can come in many different colors, but it usually comes in combination of two.
It can grow to be pretty big: up to 14 inches long, so needs to live in a
large aquarium.
It loves to play and dig up
aquatic plants
in the bottom of your fish tank. To make this more fun for this wonderful pet, you should have sand on the bottom of your tank and
real plants.
This is an excellent pet for the beginner enthusiast.
As with all goldfish varieties it loves to eat. A varied diet is important to ensure a healthy fish and the diet should include: zucchini, spinach, lettuce, peas, as well as fish flakes and pellets.
Make sure you know
how to clean your aquarium,
and
how to care for your goldfish.
