Fish flakes are boring, start experimenting with goldfish food
Knowing what
goldfish food,
to feed your new pet is most important. Just fish flakes, is a very bad idea.
Your pet goldfish is just like you, when it comes to enjoying a variety in your diet. If you ate the same food everyday, you’d be bored silly, and your body in time would rebel, by becoming very sick. Now, just think about your adorable fish; they feel the same way about getting the same old goldfish food every day.
Fish flakes are good, and full of nutrients but your fish like variety. Plus when your goldfish eats the fish flakes on top of the water, they sometimes gulp down extra air. This could help contribute to them getting
Swim Bladder problems,
and you don’t want that.
Sinking pellets are good, as they fall to the bottom of the tank. But, sometimes your pets will mistake the pellets for the gravel in the bottom of your tank, causing more problems.
You can purchase clips that have suction cups on them and place them in the middle of your fish tank. To this clip you can add a variety of veggies. Try and experiment with green leafy vegetables and see which ones your fish like the best. Try starting with spinach, lettuce, cucumber, peas, and zucchini. Peas are especially good for your fish, as they can help with a variety of health problems including
constipation.
As a special treat you can give your pet fish blood worms.
Remember don’t overfeed your fish, as you’ll be doing more harm than good.
The main thing to remember is that all the food mentioned above is good, but just mix things up a bit. Your fish will thank you for it.
