Watching your goldfish behavior is part of the fun of owning this wonderful pet
Goldfish behavior,
varies with each variety of goldfish.
It’s important that watch your fish's behavior very closely. This won’t be difficult to do, as you and your family will probably spend many delightful hours watching your goldfish playing, and swimming around.
When you first introduce them to your aquarium they will be highly stressed. It’s good to watch this initial behavior, as stress causes several different
goldfish diseases
and you’ll be alerted, and know when your fish are stressed.
Once they relax and feel comfortable in their new home you’ll see their behavior change once again. This is good. It’ll be their usual goldfish behavior.
I once had a couple of
Comets,
who would just float in the tank all day long, but at supper time they would go into a swimming frenzy. They would zip and swim around the fish tank so incredibly fast; it was amazing to watch them. Whereas ‘The Fat Boys’, a couple of
Fantail’s
would merrily swim around the
aquarium
all day long. So different fish will behave differently.
You need to be aware of where your fish like to swim in the tank, some of their playful antics, how they like to breath and what color they are.
Just to put a playful idea into your head while we're talking about goldfish behavior, did you know that some people have been able to
train their goldfish to do tricks?
It's really amazing what a little time, and effort can do.
But if you do notice that your fish aren't quiet themselves this will give you the tools necessary, in-case your fish do get sick. For more information on
