Fantail goldfish are fun, hardy and beautiful

Fantail goldfish fall into the category of ‘Fancy Goldfish’. I think this is a real cool name as the tails of these fish are really pretty and definitely very fancy.

The tails have dual lobes or in other words two pairs of anal fins, which give the fantail its beautiful array of fins. When you watch this type of fish swim they swish their tails like an exotic accessory. They are very beautiful to watch.

These fish come in many different colors and have a round or pointed body. Fish of good quality have a high color density and that color also goes into their fins.

Fantail goldfish are excellent pets for the beginner. They are very hardy, as they can tolerate a wide range of water temperatures, and they can easily live in outdoor ponds or indoor aquariums.

You’ll soon find that your passion for your pet fish isn’t limited to yourself. There are many goldfish lovers out there and even goldfish shows. The fantail goldfish is an excellent speices as a ‘show fish’.

Although my pet fish aren’t entered into any competitions, they’re all winners to me.
