Cheer for the Pompom fancy goldfish

The Pompom goldfish is as unusual as any fancy goldfish.

Each different type of goldfish has specific characteristics and the Pompom is just the same. It has large nasal lobes which look like cheerleading pompoms. Hence the name of this fancy goldfish. These pompoms can come in different sizes depending on the fish, but they need to be the same size.

This fish has an egg shaped body and beautiful flowing double tail fins.

It does look a little different, but if you’ve read other pages in this website about different types of goldfish you’ll know that some breeds look stranger than others. Although it can come in chocolate or gold, it’s the gold variety that’s most popular.

This goldfish as with all the other types of goldfish like a large aquarium to swim around in, aquatic plants to munch on, clean water to live in, and good food.
